Are missing teeth causing you to hide your smile? At Premier Dental, we offer state-of-the-art dental implants and restorative dental technology. If you’re missing one or more teeth, dental implants are the most permanent (and often the most comfortable) solution.
A Healthy Tooth Replacement Solution
Dental implants are artificial teeth that mimic the structure and function of a natural tooth and act as anchors for replacement teeth. The artificial root is surgically placed in your jawbone, allowed to heal, and then capped with a natural-looking dental restoration like a crown, bridge, or denture.
We prefer dental implants because they are a tooth replacement that actually improves your oral health. If a missing tooth is not replaced, adjacent teeth can start to drift out of alignment and your jawbone may begin to deteriorate. The implant takes the place of the missing tooth root, which supports surrounding natural teeth and prevents jawbone deterioration.
Additionally, since dental implants are held in place with their own titanium root, we do not need to place dental crowns on adjacent teeth. With dental implants, you will be able to eat, drink, and speak with a complete, healthy smile. Our patients are always amazed at how natural their dental implants look and feel once they’re placed.
The Dental Implant Process
The first step in the dental implants process is a consultation during which we will discuss all your tooth replacement options. A good candidate for dental implant placement must have sufficient bone density in his or her jaw to support the implants.
Once we determine that you are a good candidate, Dr. Simanovich will surgically implant the titanium roots into your jaw. After the implant has completely fused with your jawbone, you return to our office and we will custom-craft replacement teeth that attach to the artificial roots.
If you need to have teeth extracted in preparation for dentures, we can place your dental implants immediately after surgery. We fabricate your dentures beforehand and then place the implants in the ideal position to support the restoration. This means you can leave the same day with a full set of functional teeth while your implants heal.
Using dental implants, we can:
• Replace a single tooth
• Replace several missing teeth
• Support a dental restoration like a bridge or crown
• Anchor a full set of dentures or overdentures
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Simanovich has advanced training and experience in the surgical placement of dental implants. We can handle the entire implant process from start to finish, providing you with the highest standard of seamless care in a familiar, friendly environment. Our skilled professional team has assisted in many dental implant procedures and will be there to support you through all phases of your treatment.
Making the decision to have dental implants placed is a big step. We will take all the time needed to make sure you understand what’s involved and respond fully to all your questions and concerns.
